emitemail vs Elastic Email

Elastic Email is a large, low-priced platform that does a lot. emitemail does one thing: it sends the email your product must send, from a fixed price with a hard limit. Here is where each fits.

Choose emitemail if

  • You send receipts, password resets, order updates or alerts, and nothing else.
  • A surprise bill would hurt more than a short pause.
  • You want your mail separate from anyone else's marketing mail.
  • You run several client sites or brands and want each one isolated.
  • You want your mail sent from Canadian servers by a named company.
  • You need webhooks without moving to a higher plan.

Choose Elastic Email if

  • You also need newsletters, campaigns, forms, landing pages or automation.
  • You want a drag-and-drop email designer or AI template generation today.
  • You need email verification or inbound email processing built in.
  • You want a private IP and are ready to warm it up and watch it yourself.

When something goes wrong

Price lists look alike. The difference shows on the bad days.

A bug loops and tries to send 400,000 emails in an hour

The monthly cap stops it at your plan size, and the log shows what happened. The bill does not change.

A good problem: your store has a huge sale and mail doubles

At the monthly cap, sending pauses and the API tells you how many are left. You choose whether to upgrade.

Someone steals an API key

Send-only keys, one per service and per domain. Revoke one without touching the rest. The cap limits the damage.
